DFNDR Armor® lightweight side plates are designed to defeat the same threats as their torso counterparts specific to their rating.  Our side plates are designed in an ergonomic single curve at exceptionally low weights to compliment DFNDR torso armor by providing side protection.  DFNDR side plates can be purchased with side plate pouches and assembled on DFNDR’s QRC or any MOLLE capable cummerbund.

DFNDR Armor® Side Plate Armor is equipped with a state-of-the-art Trauma Mitigation Base to minimize the energy of an impact dramatically. All threats specified are tested at muzzle velocity and are listed in the ‘threat profile’ table below which describes the rated ammunition this armor system will defeat.

This system is independently tested to the NIJ 0101.04 protocol at NIJ Certified Ballistic Labs in a Stand-Alone Configuration.
